Recently, CONEMUND and its local partner EDEN have started the project titled “Promotion of child protection and capacity building for women in 3 suburbs of Dakar, Senegal”, sponsored by the Andalusian Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AACID).
The project will focus on 10 communities of the suburbs of Dakar with the following aims:
- Improving access to quality education for children and youth, both girls and boys.
- Promoting the right to an identity and to social participation, for children and youth.
- Promoting the right to health of children and youth.
- Strengthening the intervention capacities of EDEN’s women network (“godmothers”) in those communities.
The project, which has a 24 months duration, is the second intervention of CONEMUND sponsored by the Andalusian Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AACID) to support the children and youth in Dakar’s suburbs.
EDEN is one of the main counterparts of CONEMUND in Senegal, and until now, both associations have worked in partnership in five projects for Development Cooperation, always promoting the children’s rights.
